Levels
Italian Beginners Level 1
Designed for absolute beginners, this course is a perfect introduction to the language, designed to be as practical as possible so is ideal for travellers.
Example Content:
Greetings: Saying hello/goodbye, Introductions, Alphabet and pronunciation
Personal Details: Nationalities, Professions, Phone numbers, Genders, Numbers
Family and Friends: Age, Asking/talking about friends and family, Key verbs.
Eating Out: Ordering food and drinks, Offering/refusing etc
Directions and Information: Asking where something is, Clarification etc
Learning About The Local Area: Enquiries, Describing, Key nouns
Shopping: Asking/telling prices, Asking/stating need, quantity etc
Italian Beginners Level 2
Designed as a follow on from Level 1, classes will be using a communicative approach. The emphasis will be on speaking and listening while building vocabulary in a dynamic way. The students will improve their grammar skills and build up confidence to develop their conversation skills. A minimum of 10 hours of prior study is required.
Italian Intermediate
Designed as a follow on from Level 2, classes will build upon previously developed skills in speaking, listening and writing. Students will be able to communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters. A minimum of 18 hours prior study is required.
